The Orlando International Airport is 22 miles from the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.
Hertz Rental Car – AMD Members can receive discounted rental car rates by making reservations online at www.hertz.com or by calling Hertz at (800) 654-2240. Reference AMD’s 44th Annual Convention - CV # 02XS0007.
Taxi fares are approximately $50.00 each way. Mears Transportation www.mearstransportation.com (407) 423-5566 offers shared van shuttle service from the Orlando International Airport to the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. Fares are $19.00 per person one way or $31.00 per person roundtrip.
A Mears Transportation counter is located on Level One next to the Avis and Budget Rental Car Counters.
The Mears Transportation counter is open from 8:30am- midnight daily. No reservations are taken for transportation from the Orlando International Airport to downtown hotels as service operates every 25 minutes. For return service from the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center to the Orlando International Airport 24 hour advanced reservations are required.

- $222.00 Run of House Room plus current tax
- $252.00 Emerald Bay (upgraded room) plus current tax
- Guarantee of Atrium View Room is $40.00 additional per room per night
- A $15.00 Resort Fee will be charge per room per night plus current tax
- Guest room reservation cut off date is Friday, September 12th. Once AMD’s room block is filled the resort and AMD can not guarantee a room or the group rate.
- The resort is now accepting Guest Room Reservations for AMD convention attendees.
